A Showcase of Achievements and High-Level Visits
“Iran ConMine 2025” aimed to introduce the latest capabilities, promote industrial cooperation, exchange technical expertise, and support domestic production. Exhibitors presented a full range of the mining value chain – from heavy drilling, tunneling, and earthmoving machinery to advanced material handling systems, ventilation technologies, contracting services, and cutting-edge innovations.
This year’s exhibition drew the attention of top national officials:
President’s Visit:
During his tour of the booths, President Masoud Pezeshkian described the exhibition’s quality as “excellent.” Emphasizing the richness of Iran’s mineral resources, he stated that revenues from this sector – as public wealth – should be invested in infrastructure and development projects. He also stressed the importance of supporting the private sector and highlighted the role of the Iran Mine House in bridging the gap between the government and economic actors.
Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade’s Visit:
Seyed Mohammad Atabak, the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, praised domestic companies’ achievements as “market-driven” and of “international standard.” In response to producers’ challenges, he emphasized the ministry’s determination to solve liquidity issues through innovative “contract-based financing” methods.
President of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture’s Visit:
Mahmoud Najafi Arab described the exhibition as “beyond expectations,” noting that while some industries are facing stagnation, the mining sector continues to experience remarkable growth and expansion.
In addition, delegations from the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture, former IMIDRO president Mehdi Karbasian, and former diplomat Hossein Gharibi also visited, underscoring the event’s strategic importance.
Mining Diplomacy and Side Events
On the international front, a visit by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan and the President of the Iran-Kazakhstan Joint Chamber of Commerce to the Iran Mine House booth resulted in a key diplomatic achievement – an agreement to establish an “Official Pavilion of the Islamic Republic of Iran” at next year’s Kazakhstan International Mining Exhibition.
Parallel to the exhibition, numerous side programs were held. Expert panels discussed key topics such as “Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence in Mining,” “Financing through the Capital Market,” “Environmental Challenges,” and “Development Challenges of Lead and Zinc Mines,” providing a platform for exchange among professionals and executives.
Mine Cup: A Technological Innovation
One of this edition’s major innovations was the first “Mine Cup” – a technology competition designed to identify and support startups and innovative ideas in mining automation and dust control. Three top teams were recognized and awarded.
Organized by Banian Omid Company in cooperation with the Iran Mine House, “Iran ConMine 2025” once again solidified its position as the heartbeat of Iran’s mining industry by creating opportunities for business negotiations and showcasing the latest technological advancements.
